Hi everyone

Please note that following this evenings juniors, we will be closed for 2 and a bit weeks, re-opening w/c 8th January.  Sorry its such a long break, its just the way its worked out with bank holidays and staff leave etc this year.

Many thanks to everyone who has attended, volunteered or supported us in any way this year, and a very Merry Christmas to you all.

Please note that Seniors is currently 6:30-8:30pm on a Monday and Thursday, we ran the new times as a trial and it seems to suit most people better so are sticking with them for the time being.  It may take a while to get the times on the main page changed, but these will most likely be the times from now on unless i say otherwise.

Juniors on a Wednesday is the same as always.

Over the summer we joined up with BGCSY and their affiliated youth clubs for 3 weeks of activities, photos now in gallery.  

Week 1 was Girls Day, and a Boys Day with various activities including Boxing, Dance and a Bushtucker challenge!!  Plus the inter-club football Tournament where our slightly below full strength team put up a brave defence of our title, but ultimately finished second.

In week 2 we went Kayaking at Rother Valley, and settled some scores at Outdoor Lazer Tag!!  There was also a Wild Camp, which actually no children from Hillsborough attended which was probably a wise choice thanks to the British Summer Weather!!

Then week 3 was Outdoor climbing at Burbage edge, and Free Running at Team Katalyst.  We finsished the Summer with a great day out at Lightwater Valley theme park.

Please note; for the last 2 weeks of this year (w/c 10th & 17th July) Opening times for Seniors on Monday & Thursday will be 6:30-8:30pm.

This is due to the consensus of those currently attending, and if succesful will replace the exisiting time permanently. 

Juniors on Wednesdays is unaffected.

Well done to everyone who came on our Spring Residential, (see photos in gallery) we had a fantastic couple of days and managed to squueze in lots of activities.  

Everybody from Hillsborough BGC did the club really proud in terms of their attitude and conduct, making my life very easy and meaning we could concentrate on having fun.

See you on the next one!!!

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Easter Activities, and a particular well done to our team of juniors who after a couple of years of close seconds finally won the Inter Club challenge.  We will consult soon to decide how best to spend our Prize Money!!

Coming up we have our inter-club football tournament, where we are the back-to-back defending champions, no pressure guys!!

We also have a Residential at the end of May, 3 days of fun and (mainly) water based activities in the beautiful North Pennine hills.  See Graham to sign up asap.

Last week saw another succesful Activity Week, well done to everyone taking part.

We had our first Great Youth Club Bake-Off, and with the competition clearly being too scared of our baking prowess we had a good battle between Juniors, Seniors and staff. See the gallery for some photos, we also went to Lazer Quest and Ice Skating, sorry there are no photos from this but I was too busy getting shot/trying not to fall over.

Keep an eye-out for upcoming events including Presentation Night, (the much delayed) Football Tournament, Easter Activities and our Spring Residential.
