We are now on our summer break, except for our trips, we will re-open the first week of September.

Thanks to everyone who attends, works/volunteers or supports our youth club for another fantastic year.

Reminder to those seniors who haven't already done so that they will need to re-register to attend from September with full and verified parental consent.

100 Years of Youth Work!

2025 marks 100 years since the Hillsborough Boys Club opened, marking a century of youth work on this site. We are planning some events later in the year to celebrate this and also hopefully raise money for some much needed refurbishment to our building, which is looking 100 years old in places! Any ideas anyone has on either of these would be most welcome.

Easter 2025

After tonight we will be closing Youth Club for 2 weeks, re-opening w/c 14th April.

We are planning a trip for juniors, next Thursday (April 3rd) for a club day at one of our associated youth clubs. subject to interest.

Christmas 2023

After tonight's Seniors session we will be closed for Christmas, re-opening on Monday 8th January.

Club Now Open

Youth is back open this week for it's usual Monday, Wednesday and Thursday sessions.

We had a great summer with activities like Drayton Manor, Outdoor Lazer Tag, Ninja Warrior and Cleethorpes. We also had a great residential up in the lake district. See the gallery or our instagram page for photos.

Summer 2023

Youth Club is now it's summer break.

We have 2 activity weeks; w/c 7th August - Drayton Manor, Lazer Tag and Sports Day, w/c 14th August - Ninja Warrior and Cleethorpes Beach. Contact us for more details, although most trips are already full.

We are also going on a club residential to the lake district w/c 21st August.

Youth club evening sessions will resume w/c 4th September. Have a great summer!

No evening sessions at Youth Club next week, just our 2 day trips to the water park and Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Club sessions resume on June 5th.

February Half Term

Once again we will be participating in BGCSY's activity programme in 2023, taking part in trips and activities with other youth clubs across the region.

The February Half term activities are;

Monday 13th - Calypso Cove swimming and water slides

Tuesday 14th - Indoor lazer tag at I Combat

Wednesday 15th - Indoor sports tournament @ HBGC, including cooking and games.

All trips avaialble to Youth Club members, contact Graham for more information or to sign-up.

Christmas 2022

Another year is almost over at Youth Club, tonight is our last regular session of 2022.

On Monday 19th Decemeber, we will be holding a Christmas party, between 5:30 & 7:30pm, this is open to Juniors and Seniors, and will feature music, some party games and a buffet.

After that we will be closed for 2 weeks, re-opening on Wednesday 4th Jan for Juniors, and following day for Seniors.

I'm not sure when club sessions will end, I don't think we'll be open during these 2 weeks, but I may try and put some sessions on the week after, w/c 8th August.

May Half Term

We are away on our residential trip to the Lake District w/c 30th May 2022, so unfortunately there will be no youth sessions or other half term trips/activities for those not going. Back open as usual w/c 6th June.

Easter 2022

Youth Club will be closed next week (w/c 4/4/22) for staff to take some annual leave.

We will be doing the activities as advertised the folowing week (w/c 11/4/22)

Youth Club will re-open after Easter Monday, April 20th for Juniors, 21st for Seniors.

At Easter we will once again be teaming up with BGCSY on their Activity Programme, taking part in the following trips and activities with other youth clubs from across South Yorkshire.

Thursday - Club Challenge

In addition we are doing our own club Residential trip to the Lake Distrrict during the May/June Half term. All these trips are only available to club members, speak to Graham for more details or how to join.

February Half Term

During February Half Term will be resuming our participation in BGCSY's activity programme, they have 3 activities lined up for us to get involved in;

Tuesday 15th Feb - Club Activity Day: sports, games and activities at the Double Six Youth Club

Wednesday 16th Feb - Jump: Trampolining fun at Jump

Thursday 17th Feb - Lazer Tag: Inter-club team lazer battles at Quasar

As always we will provide transport to and from activities, and all trips are free or hugely subsidised.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO EVENING YOUTH CLUB SESSIONS DURING THIS WEEK. Back open as usual w/c 21/02/22

Christmas 2021

Tonight’s Seniors will be our last session of 2021 before our Christmas shutdown. May I thank everyone who has supported us over the past 12 months and helped us continue to provide a service to our members.

We plan to re-open on January 5^th (Juniors) and the 6^th for Seniors, but obviously this will be dependent on what the covid restrictions are at that time. As a club we will continue to do what we think is the right thing to do within those restrictions, whether it be closing/limiting numbers to help prevent the spread of covid, or providing a reduced service to those young people most in need.

Unfortunately there will be no Youth Club sessions next week, myself and another member of staff are away on a residential trip with our day jobs so there will not be enough staff to keep the club open, sorry for any inconvenience/disappointment, it's not something I want to be happening either. I will do my best to provide an online service whilst away if anyone needs to get in touch, or talk. So the affected sessions are.

Monday 22nd Novemeber - CLOSED

Wednesday 24th November - CLOSED

Thursday 25th November - CLOSED

Open as usual the following week, and I will try and make up for the missed sessions by running extra sessions when we can during half term etc.
