As many of you will be aware, from July 4th, Community Centres are allowed to open, so we plan to start running youth club sessions again. This will certainly not be a return to normal, and will closer to the outdoor sessions we rain last week, than how youth club would have looked before covid-19. We will be using outdoor spaces wherever possible, amd limited indoor spaces, following social distancing and limiting overall numbers with a booking system. Obviously if there are any changes to government policy or a local lockdown etc we will review this. Other details will be broadly similar to before, I have again included an updated Risk Assesment below if anyone wants more detail, and as always feel free to contact me with any concerns/questions.

We are planning to re-open the youth club next week, obviously things will be a bit different, but we feel the risk is low enough now, and weighed against young people's mental health and the benefits of giving them somewhere safe to start socialising again is acceptable. Obviously in the current climate we cannot guarantee a covid-free environment, but we have assesed the risk and will taking steps to do everything we can to make it as safe as possible and in line with current government guidance. I've included the full risk assesment below, but the key points are;
- Sessions to take place outside, using the youth club garden
- Numbers limited to six people including staff, young people will have to book a place in advance
- 2 meter social distancing to be observed
- Restrict activities and items available to ensure as little touching of shared surfaces as possible
- Hand sanitiser available to everyone
These measures will be reviewed and adjusted every 3 weeks, or as government guidance with regards to lifting/tightening lockdown easing dictates.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi everyone
The half term activities have been announced, Go-Karting, Lazer Tag and indoor sports.
I am also in the process of reviewing the activity programme before writing the 2020 calender, so if anyone has any feedback on the activities we offer or the way it runs, now is the time and it would be most welcome.

Hi everyone
For those who don't already know that there will be no evening sessions between Monday 22nd July & Thursday 29th August.
The summer activities will be running as scheduled in August.
Thanks again to everyone involved in the club this year. It has been a challenging one at times in terms of numbers, particularly at Seniors, but I honestly think that the groups we currently have at Juniors & Seniors are some of the closest and most positive we have had in my time here. So enjoy your summer, and I'll look forward to seeing you all in September where we will look to contunue the good work.
Ta, Graham & the HBGC team.
